At r2L, we are building a strong network of terminals, operators, and railway undertakings to unlock intermodal rail access for non-craneable trailers across Europe. Our Partner Program ensures operational excellence, visibility, and collaboration across the logistics chain.
Achieving the EU’s modal shift goals will require more than just political ambition – it demands solutions that work now, within the limits of today’s infrastructure. That’s exactly where the r2L connector makes the difference.
Unlike many future concepts that rely on unbuilt infrastructure, the r2L connector is designed for the existing rail network in Europe. This allows logistics companies to start their transition to CO2-free freight transport immediately – regardless of their current setup.
It’s time to make the switch. And it’s our mission to support every company ready to move toward cleaner, smarter logistics. Let’s take this step together.
CFL multimodal
Our vision is to ensure visibility of the r2L network together with our partners, to provide access for non-craneable trailers at various terminal locations, and to foster cooperation within the network. The goal is to create real market value – by connecting people, ideas, and intermodal solutions that make a difference.
First of all, we appreciate every partner using r2L as a connecting tool for modal shift. r2L represents a proven and sustainable technology – it enables up to 99.9 % of all wheeled vehicles to move by rail. By joining the network, the partner helps strengthen and further develop the joint product: intermodal transport for non-craneable trailers.
The program increases visibility and recognition. We highlight our partners through LinkedIn posts, network announcements and shared communications, helping each partner to showcase its capabilities to the market. It’s a free platform for collaboration, exchange and mutual promotion within the r2L community.
Participation in the r2L Partner Networkis completely free of charge – there are no membership or certification costs.
No. The partnership does not exclude partners from using or testing other innovations. Our focus is on the market itself, and on the joint effort to enable modal shift step by step – using different terminal accesses and European rail connections.
Our main communication channel is LinkedIn. Together, we aim to build an active online community. Each new partner receives an r2L Partner Certificate, and r2L Roadraillink will publish a joint LinkedIn post to announce the partnership and network expansion. Regular reposts, updates, and success stories can then be shared to keep the collaboration visible and alive. The next step will be to bring network partner together.
